What is SEM?
Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is actually an all-encompassing term to describe SEO, Google Ads/Bing Ads, and/or shopping feeds. More commonly, however, the term “SEM” is used interchangeably with Google Ads or Bing Ads.
What is PPC?
Pay Per Click (PPC) is the form of paid advertising in which you literally pay per click. Ultimately, this model allows you to pay a fee (per 'click' on your advert) to attract new customers to site. This is in contrast to a CPM (Cost Per Mille [Thousand]) or CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) buying model.
How much does it cost to advertise on Google?
The good news is that there are no minimum costs to advertise on Google. However, we do recommend a minimum of $2,000 per month to allow for enough data to come through, which can then be analysed and turned into valuable insights for the next campaign.

What is Google Ads?
Google Ads is Google's official advertising tool that allows you to implement paid advertising through its different platforms such as Google Search, YouTube, Google Display Network, Gmail, and Google Maps.
How pay per click advertising works
Pay Per Click advertising is based on an open auction. Every time you bid on a search term, you are competing against other websites bidding on the same search term. The highest bidder has their ad shown at the highest spot. While the maximum bid certainly plays a big part in where ads appear, things like Quality Score (for Google Ads), locality, and previous search history can affect ad positioning.
PPC vs. SEO
PPC allows for instant traffic, as you are paying for the traffic from platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads. SEO, however, is a long-term advertising strategy that helps you increase your website traffic organically.
Does PPC help SEO?
PPC advertising indirectly helps SEO by allowing you to see what keywords are converting, which can then inform what type of landing page content should be written.
What is RLSA?
RLSA stands for Remarketing Lists for Search Ads. RLSA allows you to show different ads to users who have previously interacted with your website. For example, if someone has come to your website but not converted, you may decide to include a coupon in your future ads to entice that user to return and convert.
