Make sure potential customers can easily find you organically when they’re searching for your products.

What is SEO?

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of making your website rank higher in Google (and other search engine) search results than your competitors. Since searchers are significantly more likely to click on links at the top of the first page than the bottom, SEO has a direct effect on how much traffic your website attracts. However, convincing the search engine you have the best content is only half the battle; you need engaging and relevant content to entice searchers to click on your website.

By identifying what your target market is searching for and the keywords they use to find it, we can help you create highly relevant web content that will be the first thing they see after running their search. Helpful information sections, product reviews, buying guides, FAQs and infographics are just a few of the types of pages we can create with your, all optimised for your users’ experience.

Rather than a typical client-agency relationship, we prefer to work in partnership with our clients to get you the best results. If you need search engine optimisation in Sydney, read on to see what we can offer in more detail.

Alpha Digital specialises in eCommerce SEO, which is a complex beast that we are uniquely qualified to tame. We work predominantly with WordPress, Neto, Magento and Kentico for SEO eCommerce clients, but our technical skills enable us to easily work with other CMS as well.

Since savvy consumers often compare multiple online stores’ offerings to get the best deal, having a responsive, easily navigable eCommerce website that ticks all the technical boxes is vital for getting customers through your funnel to checkout as seamlessly as possible.

Users are now predominantly using mobile devices with shopping as no exception. Many businesses see equal or even more mobile traffic than desktop, highlighting the importance of having a mobile-optimised eCommerce website. Even if users are only checking out the site on mobile first to later buy on desktop, if your site isn’t optimised for mobile use, they aren’t likely to return at all. We of course include mobile optimisation for all of our eCommerce clients.
Local SEO

If your business offers services to a particular geographical area (such as plumbing, dog grooming, waste collection, etc.), you want to reach the market local to that area, rather than on the other side of the country. Local SEO is also handy for smaller online businesses delivering perishable or fragile goods, or competing with overseas stores’ shipping times and costs.

By taking a more targeted approach, we help you gain visibility with the people who are most likely to use your products and services, not to mention recommend them to friends and family living nearby.
Link building strategies

Demonstrating the “Web” part of the World Wide Web, link building is an often overlooked part of the SEO puzzle, but an extremely important one. By including links to related web sites and having other relevant websites link to yours, you build yourself as an authority in your chosen industry, both in your market’s eyes and in search engines.

The important thing to remember with link building is quality over quantity. This is much like recommendations in the real world, where 1000 recommendations from people unrelated to your industry are worth far less than just one from an industry leader. Similarly, a handful of quality links not only carry much more meaning than countless irrelevant ones, they also will funnel qualified leads directly to your website. Our links don’t just look natural, they are natural by employing techniques such as digital PR, supplier/affiliate links, directory listings, and leveraging existing brand mentions.
SEO Website Migration

A common misconception is that it's normal to have a drop in organic traffic after moving to a new website. An SEO migration means that you can build a new website or move to a new domain and all of your SEO will move with you.

If you're thinking of, or are about to make changes to your website's structure, content, coding, site performance or UX get in touch and we can guide you through the process. We can also help to undo some of the damage that has been done as a result of an unsuccessful SEO migration.

What is SEO?
SEO (or Search Engine Optimisation) is a combination of on-page, off-page, holistic and technical techniques combined with one another to make a website more favourable to search engines in order to increase search engine rankings as well as the quantity and quality of traffic.
How does SEO work?
SEO works through two factors, onsite and offsite, to get your web page seen by search engine result pages (SERPs). Onsite factors are based on your content and website structure and can be increased by optimising the content on your website to include keywords that users are searching for. Offsite factors relate to how your website is referred to from other online sources through the development of good digital relationships and having quality links.
Does SEO work?
Yes SEO absolutely does work. It has been proven time and time again by industry players such as Moz, Search Engine Land and Robbie Richards. By implementing current practices to the highest standard for search engines, SEO can be very beneficial to search engine rankings, traffic numbers and ultimately, conversions.
How long does SEO take?
There are a lot of variables that play into how quickly you will see results after implementing SEO, however most websites tend to see results in 4 to 6 months. It is important to remember that this time frame is when you are likely to start seeing results, however, SEO results continue to grow overtime and there is no real number that can be placed on this.
How much does SEO cost?
The cost of SEO varies per agency, however most agencies follow a range of payment models such as monthly retainers, contract services at fixed prices, project-based pricing and hourly consulting. With all business contracts, you need to be aware of what you're paying for and you should be wary if an agency is providing you guarantees, instant results, #1 spot on Google or costs lower than $750/month; you are probably not entering into a good deal.v
What is local SEO?
Local SEO is focused on providing results that are relevant to a searcher based on their current location, and is a very targeted online marketing approach for this reason. Local SEO gathers local business information from directories such as Yelp, Yellow Pages, Google My Business and Bing Places and better positions your business on search engines and other digital marketing platforms so you’re more likely seen by potential customers.
What are keywords?
Terms or phrases that people search for in search engine sites to try and find a website. It is important to include keywords that people are searching for in your site content as they can help visitors, potential customers and search engines understand the purpose of your page.
What is metadata?
Data that provides information about other data. Meta data is typically a resource for discovery and identification and can include elements such as titles, descriptions and keywords. Meta titles and descriptions are important for SEO as they help with discoverability in search engines and provide users with quick information on what the site is about before they visit it.
What is organic traffic?
Traffic refers to all users accessing your site, no matter who they might be. Organic traffic refers to any non-paid traffic that comes to your site. This traffic is all achieved organically through search engine results, social media sites, referral traffic from other websites and direct traffic, rather than through a source of advertising or paid promotion of some kind.
Why is my website not showing up in Google?
Your website may not be showing up in search results for a number of reasons, including but not limited to: your website has not been indexed yet, the keywords you are using are highly competitive, you are not implementing relevant content to your website, you don't have content on your home page or you have not optimised your website to help boost its page rankings.
